Just Treat Myself

If I received $10,000 that I had to spend on myself, I honestly have no clue what I would buy. I think that’s largely because I never think to buy things for myself. Not only that, I never think of myself, in any way. And, it really sucks sometimes because since I’m not thinking about me, then no one is thinking about me. I mean, how many of us are guilty of this same crime against ourselves? We spend so much time worried about our family and our friends that we neglect the most important person in our lives… ourselves.

If I had to spend $10,000 on myself, maybe I would pay off part of my car loan??? Or one or two of my student loans that are weighing my credit report and score down to the ground?? But, I don’t really think that’s what the question is asking, do you? At least, not the spirit of the question anyway. The spirit of the question is for me to think about something I want… more than anything… and list that as the purchase for myself. Not paying a bill or buying something for my soulmate. What one thing on the planet would I purchase for myself if I had the money? That’s really what the question is asking, right?

In all honesty, if I really had to list something that I would purchase for myself if I had $10,000, maybe I would buy airtime on a local television station. Or rather, a group of television stations. Then, I could produce my content in the studio at my school or in my home or in my studio and package it so that it’s ready to be shown to the world. I would also update my wardrobe. I mean, if I’m gonna be on television I might as well as cute clothes on at the same time. And, I would purchase a set of MAC or Fenty makeup products in my shade and a Groupon for makeup lessons to learn how to truly “beat a face” into submission.

Then, as I am producing and recording the content, I can easily shift onto the front of the camera and be beautiful at the same time. I may also purchase a few lessons in taming this mane of mine. I DESPERATELY need to figure out how to get this head under control in a timely manner that would look FABULOUS on and off the screen. Taking classes... that's what I would do if I could... which seems strange to most people but I have always done well in school. I love it in fact; which is probably why I became a teacher in the first place. So, it took some doing but I managed to find a few things for myself that I would spend money on if I had $10,000.
