Writing Challenge... Starts Tomorrow...
"Writers... the only athletes who think they don't have to practice..." - Anonymous
WOW! So, tomorrow is the big day! For those of you who are just tuning in, tomorrow is the day when I start my 28 Days of Flash Fiction Challenge. The parameters of the challenge are as follows:
I have to write, EVERYDAY, for the entire month of February (hence the name of the challenge)
I must write at least one piece of Flash Fiction per day
Each piece must be no less than 300 words and no more than 1,000 word.
Each piece must be a COMPLETE story: a beginning, a middle and an end.
Sounds easy, right??? Not to a writer. Not to someone who stares at a blank page waiting for inspiration to strike and is often humiliated in the wake of defeat.
The last time I tried to complete a writing challenge, I failed, nine days into it. This time, I am determined to finish the challenge. In the long run, I know it will help me to have consistent material for the new magazine.
I will keep you updated on my progress I make on a weekly basis.
Now, where did the idea for a writing challenge come from exactly?
Well, that's a conversation for another blog...
